AltınKalem Student Dormitory was designed to help male and female students in Karabük reach the peak of their success throughout the academic year, adding quality, ease and productivity to their lives.
We aim for students living away from their families to continue their lives in a safer environment with far wider facilities than usual. We are a member of the Karabük Private Student Dormitories Association.

Earthquake and fire precautions
Our buildings are designed to the higher structural class required of student dormitories, approximately 40% above the standard applied to ordinary housing.
The buildings are fitted with an automatic fire sprinkler system, which is a legal requirement for facilities of our bed capacity.
Halogen-free, non-flame-propagating cable is used throughout the power, internet and camera installations.
A generator takes over during power cuts, and a lightning conductor protects the buildings.
The buildings date from 2011 and 2014 and have external cladding with thermal and acoustic insulation.
Student dormitories, schools and university buildings house large numbers of people for long periods, and the seismic code therefore requires them to be designed to a higher structural class than ordinary housing. We recommend asking to see a dormitory's licence before registering.
